“Afterlife”
Inspired by sunsets, afterlife is a piece reflecting on what’s beyond life, once we pass. When I was a kid, I remember watching sunsets and the last sunbeams coming through the clouds were fascinating and powerful, I thought those rays were some sort of passage from life to death.
The day before my father passed, I knew it was a matter of days, I laid on the sand by the beach and watched the sunset, I saw those rays and hoped that his passing would be peaceful as his illness was so painful.
