Colour as a universal language

Color psychology is a form of non-verbal communication, which can have a huge impact on us; colour has the power to evoke emotions, unblock memories and induce feelings. Color and abstraction are there when words are simply not enough. I’ve always been interested in languages; I speak Italian, Spanish, English and German. When I was a child I used to speak French but I kinda lost it. I then found the language of colour and how we can communicate our inner selves without using words, just colours and I was so fascinated by it. But I wanted to use abstract images to tell stories, emotions, evoke emotions and colour was just the perfect way to do so. What I like is that it’s not just about what I want to portray but it’s also about what people see. It’s a silent conversation that takes places in our heads. We’re still communicating but on another level. That moment of connection when someone is able to let go and for a moment stay present, letting abstract colourful images talk just to them. I’ve been fascinated with colour since I was a child and it always helped me understand better myself and communicate with others. It always amazes me how much we can say using just colour, allowing our deepest emotions to rise and let them be.
